Short fiction is a thing built from fireworks and curious phantoms. Like human memory, it is an edited collection of vivid moments that are riddled with emotions and raised questions. Writing it is, for me, a way to process the complexities of the universe - to fix an idea under the microscope in an attempt to truly observe and understand it. Sometimes, the ideas wear a dragon costume or run in terror across the face of the Moon. Sometimes, they just go to the bracken...
